Seating for up to 720 guests at a little over half the price of our 80×100: that’s the 60×120 tent. It covers 7,200 sq ft under a white double peak top, with 8 ft sides and two center peaks that rise to 25 ft. It seats 576 to 720 guests and goes on grass only. The 60×120 century tent rental is $9,000.

The Value Pick for 700 Guests
When a guest list climbs past 600, it’s tempting to go straight to the widest tent. Compare it with the 60 x 120 before you decide:
| Compare | 60×120 | 80×100 |
|---|---|---|
| Floor area | 7,200 sq ft | 8,000 sq ft |
| Seated guests | 576 to 720 | 700 to 800 |
| Grass area needed | 70 x 130 ft | 90 x 110 ft |
| Price | $9,000 | $16,500 |
| Cost per seated guest | About $12.50 to $15.60 | About $20.60 to $23.60 |
The 60×120 gives you 90% of the floor area for about 55% of the price. If your guest list is 720 or fewer and your lawn is long enough, it’s the stronger value. If you need up to 800 seats on a shorter, wider lawn, the 80×100 is the one; see it on our century pole tent page, along with every other size.
Renting vs. Buying From a Pole Tent Supplier
If you searched for a pole tent supplier, you may be weighing whether to buy a tent or rent one. We’re a rental company, not a supplier, and for a one-time event that difference matters. A 60×120 century tent is heavy, takes a trained crew to raise, and needs storage between uses.
When you rent from us, the price covers the tent, the center poles and the stakes, and our crew handles delivery, setup and pickup. You don’t buy, store or maintain anything, and you don’t need your own crew to put it up.
Layout for a 700-Guest Event
| Zone | Length | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Entrance and bars | About 20 ft | Check-in, two bars and cocktail tables |
| Dining | About 75 ft | Dinner tables on both sides of the center poles |
| Dance floor and stage | About 25 ft | Dance floor in front of the band or DJ |
Put bars at both ends, not just one, so lines stay short for 700 guests. Plan around the center poles, which make natural spots for food stations and lighting. With a dance floor, stage and bars inside, plan for closer to 576 seated guests.
Events That Fit a 60×120
- Large weddings: 600 to 700 guests with a dance floor and band.
- Corporate events: company-wide dinners, launches and award nights.
- Fundraisers: galas with a stage, auction tables and a full dinner.
- Community events: festivals, reunions and town celebrations on a park field.
Under the Peaks
The two center peaks rise to 25 ft, more than three times the height of the sides. That height keeps a big room from feeling crowded, and it leaves space overhead for string lights or draping that runs the full 120 feet. The top is tensioned between the poles and the perimeter stakes, which gives century tents their curved, peaked look from outside.
60×120 Tent Rental Cost
The 60×120 is $9,000. Our 60 ft wide century tents share the same rate per square foot, so it’s $750 more than the 60×110 century tent, which seats up to 660. Delivery is quoted from your address and includes setup and pickup. A rental covers about 3 days.
No add-ons are listed for this tent on our site. Ask about lighting, heaters, flooring and dance floors in your quote request, and we’ll price them with the tent.
A Weather Plan
For a crowd this size on a lawn, plan for the weather early. Heaters along the sides help on a cool spring or fall evening, and fans keep air moving on a summer afternoon. No tent is a safe shelter in severe weather, so keep an indoor backup plan for guests if storms are in the forecast.
Grass Only: 70 x 130 Feet
All pole tents must be installed on grass only, with an additional 5 feet on each of the four sides. For a 60×120, that’s a clear grass area at least 70 feet wide and 130 feet long, free of trees, structures and garden beds. Call 811 before setup to have underground lines marked, and check with your town about a tent permit. For a tent this size, a site visit ($250, credited when you book) is the best way to confirm the space.
No room for that much grass, or a paved site? The 50×120 frame tent seats 480 to 600 and can be weighted on pavement. For more than 720 guests on a long field, the 60×200 century tent seats up to 1,200.
