How the Frame Structure Works

A frame tent gets its name from its frame structure. The frame runs around the outside and across the roof, and the top is stretched over it. Because nothing holds the roof up from the middle, the whole 40 x 80 floor is open. You can put a dance floor, a stage or a long buffet anywhere without working around poles.

That’s also why frame tents can go where pole tents can’t. A pole tent needs stakes and ropes on grass.
